PREPARING FOR THE NEXT 50 YEARS

Approaching age 50, Colleen and Bob realized they wanted to start the next 50 years off in better health and replace bad habits with healthy ones.
After six months of eating better they joined the Venice YMCA and started exercising three days a week. With the help of a personal trainer they increased their workouts to five days a week and tightened up their eating habits even more.
Today Bob has lost 50 pounds, Colleen 30 pounds and their issues with cholesterol are virtually non-existent. The only drawback to their new physiques? Buying a new wardrobe, jokes Colleen, who went from a size 14 to an 8, and Bob dropped from a 36” waist to a 31” waist – something that surprises even himself.
“The Y has become a constant force in our daily lives,” Bob said. “Our workout routine makes us feel good and, like a habit, it’s hard to break – even though 4:30 a.m. seems to come rather quickly on weekday mornings.”
